Yes, we all appreciate the valuable comments from each individual here.
I have been with Mr-_Blue_-R for 6 and 1/2 years now. This experience I've been through from the time I had recieved my recruiting tag, to when I graduated to a [ D ]ivision member, has been no other experience I've been in before.
My own experience has been great, I have learnt alot from The [ D ]ivision involving Socom, and my personal life. I have grown up to be a much better individual in the way I handle things, and approach things. To me, this is college I learn so many valuable things with this clan, day after day I learn something new.
I have been with The [ D ]ivision for 6 1/2 years and I plan on staying until Socom XX comes out *sarcasm* meaning I will be here for life, this is my home, my family. There is no other clan that can make me feel the same way that The [ D ]ivision has made me feel.
Thank you everyone for reading this post, and hope to see you in the future on the battlefield gentlemen!

SOCOM 4 isn't going MLG....

Our sponsorship isn't contingent on MLG activity. Its contingent on the affinity MSI has for our organization and its efforts. SOCOM 4 is being carried by Game Battles, an MLG merger. gamebattles.com/ps3/socom-4-us-navy-seals/If these ladders achieve the right analytics, then yes, SOCOM 4 will be officially picked up by MLG. To my knowledge, MLG has not stated, "No will will not carry SOCOM 4." You are a SOCOM 4 Community Manager, you should know this. Unless your stating an opinion that SOCOM 4 will fail, thus MLG wont carry it, which would surprise me even further because your supposed to promote the SOCOM 4 brand as a manager of a community contingent on its success.

LOL, Cagalindo gets off his leash every now and then. I sure hope MLG decides to proceed with SOCOM 4. And I hope SOCOM 4 has a successful launch that brings the longtime community back together. After the Confrontation debacle, some have questioned if MLG "gave up" on the SOCOM series. But at the same time, S1-CA designed by Zipper Interactive were all supported in the past. I think the chances are very likely for SOCOM 4 personally. But I can also understand why MLG is waiting for the official launch before givng the green light on support so to speak. On a side note, SOCOMiV.com has never claimed to be 100% "pro" SOCOM 4. We are here to merely cover the news as it is released, good and bad. So Carlos is entitled to his opinion just for the record. I would just ask that ALL opinion & speculation be based on the facts available, and not to take it "too far" with outlandish conspiracy theories. Our staff has a plethora of views about what to expect, and I wouldn't have it any other way to be honest.

Certainly, as long as it doesn't pick my pocket or break my leg, anyone is entitled to their opinion. Though I haven't seen this site officially banner the claim to be 100% "pro SOCOM 4" , from a business perspective naming the site SOCOM IV, covering all things SOCOM 4 and providing a forum to support it's community kinda' implies it. If this franchise fails, so to does this site and the like, as no one but die hards like us would visit it, and even then talking about what it was and could have been would only go so far. I would imagine like most sites that don't charge a membership fee, the goal is to maximize membership activity and create the leverage needed to generate select advertisement revenue. At a minimum, paying for all of the hard work and time invested into creating, managing and developing its concepts and functions. I know there's a visionary behind this site somewhere, and I'm certain his vision was not completed on launch.

And at this point, you are making the same assumptions about our site that Cagalindo made about MLG........ But speculation is always a hit and miss....... Our "vision" has always been a simple one, and we have already exceeded it thanks to our great community. Now what we do with the little success we have achieved, is another conversation we aren't ready to share publicly. But you can bet it won't go to waste. You have described a "popular" philosophy some other sites out here hold, but be careful about lumping SOCOMiV.com with them. We are a unique entity and always will be as long as we can. ps - if this site only had 10 members, and we only had 100 listeners each week on SoCast, we would still continue. But our community has given us amazing support, and we intend to carry the torch as far as the community wants us to take it. And probably a little further knowing the tenacity of our staff.

Yes admit I do get off my leash every now and then lol. ;D
"Unless your stating an opinion that SOCOM 4 will fail, thus MLG wont carry it..."
No Blue. I said MLG will not support SOCOM 4. Not that SOCOM 4 is going to fail. You are right, there is no statement by MLG saying this. I'm just saying it won't happen based on my history with GameBattles, and what I've seen from them since early SOCOM 2 days.
GameBattles was privately owned for SOCOM 2. Then the owners sold it to MLG Inc. No SOCOM games have ever been in MLG. GameBattles ladders isn't MLG.
Once purchased, MLG Inc. took the focus off SOCOM and put the spotlight on HALO and Call of Duty. Many of us who participated in GB before it was sold know that MLG Inc. ruined what GameBattles had going with the SOCOM series.
Do I hope SOCOM 4 goes MLG? Yea definitely that would be so tight... But I strongly believe its not gonna happen.
The 1 Problem wasn't sponsorship that I wanted to point out. It was just that you can't activate your "MLG Roster" if SOCOM 4 isn't on MLG. GameBattles is owned by MLG Inc. but separate from MLG. Speaking about your "GB Roster" as your "MLG Roster" is maybe where it all got mixed up.
PS: I hate most of what I've seen in S4 so far... but just because we run this site I'm not gonna go all "PRO" on it just for it to become popular. I try to remain neutral and just provide the community with the info. for them to make their own opinions.

[Sd1] x_LUKE_DA_NUKE_x: I too am a visionary in both the world of business and as a clan founder. I have always managed my visions in layers to produce measurable levels of success, much like you have accomplished with this site. But I'm sorry, I cannot believe that your vision in totality is complete. Once a visionary, always a visionary and we see things in a global perspective, it never stops. I will go to my grave with visions yet to be accomplished, no matter the level of success I achieve in this life. My assertion is that you have more layers to scope and that there is more to come from the Mind Giants™ behind SOCOM IV, even if you wish them to remain private at this time. I imagined or "assumed" an avenue of potential direction, which by no means was designed to cheapen your brand or "lump" you in with the others. You have trademarked a very unique experience for our community. Kudos one hundred fold. I, without question, understand the passion motive when it comes to SOCOM, I have been a clan leader for 7 years. Long hours, tedious work, little recognition, shitty servers, the questioning of your sanity, the pain of managing those that think they know more than you after you have taught them what they know or refined their understanding, and no pay, lol. I would have it no other way, the hurt work refines the character of a leader. I will see the Division into my golden years, literally. Hey wait a minute, thats a winning tv show concept right there, "Golden Gamers." Hahahaha. Tell me you would not watch a show of 60-80 year old men and woman play socom with headsets on, ignore phone calls from their grandkids, cuss at the tv, talk smack over dead bodies, smash their controllers, deal with 16 year old punks and beat some ass on the ladders. If you say you wouldn't tune in your lying! @cag: I am aware of the GB history and as a One Lifer, I have always disliked being treated like a redheaded stepchild ( no offense to red headed step children reading this post) in the video game world. MLG has done an excellent job of snubbing the best gamers in the in-home game console shooter market. Thats why we can pick up a controller in COD or Halo and immediately compete, in my experience the reverse transition is much more difficult. I have a voice on my shoulder that agrees, the odds of SOCOM entering the pro circuit are slim but I choose not to feed that voice and if that voice is correct, I will box his ass up and put him in the basement while I continue to play my beloved SOCOM. From a business standpoint, if the logistics are in place MLG would be negligent not to include this franchise. As a matter of fact, if the logistics are there and they don't pick it up I'll pioneer a pro circuit myself. All I do for a living is develop business, connect dots, broker deals, promote brands, write contracts, and empower others. See, there I ago again, the visionary is screaming. Our "MLG Roster" is a statement of optimism, it feels good to be optimistic, optimism produces positive affects. Your dealing with a Browns fan here, we do this every season in between Sundays, lol. I also will not allow myself to make a definitive judgement on the game itself until I have the final product in my hands and have put a solid two weeks into its gameplay. I will remain open as long as it remains loyal to the One Lifers. Thats my word.

I too have been a clan leader of a very fierce clan for well over 5 years, and just recently retired. It's amazing how often good clan leaders are taken for granted. I look forward to more conversations with you Blue. I like your approach and your level of comprehension and intelligence. And you are right, we NOW have several layers being evaluated, and I will be a lifelong "visionary". But in all fairness, we STARTED OUT very simple. We didn't want to over plan until we knew how we would be accepted. We didn't want to over-invest in our vision for SoCast & SOCOMiV.com So the initial vision has been completed, but like you pointed out, we are just getting started! We have some very nice surprises in the near future. And to be honest, I can't believe some of the amazing doors that have opened that we will all share with you and our community soon enough. Keep fighting the good fight........oh..... "And stay thirsty my friends............" (sorry, couldn't resist. I wish I was cool like him.)
