Dont know if this has been brought up but does anyone have any doubts that there will even be teamkilling and/or voting in S4? (Do you want teamkilling and voting in ranked rooms?)
I'm having a really hard time trying to believe even the most basic Socom features will be in this game after seeing the footage of zooming in with red dot sight. It looks so much like call of duty, killzone, and all the other FPS out there. That is by far my biggest peeve about S4 from what i've seen.
If they wanna do a first person type thing, it should be like the old Socoms where u can't see your gun. That's just my opinion.

Team Killing and Voting "Should" be in Socom 4 Agree 100% I can deal with accidental team kills that happens but on purpose then it's election time, time to vote for the great kick.

They should just change Friendly fire to reflect. That way if you want to go on a team killing streak, you shoot one person and all it does is kill you.

Why not have it that if you team kill a player within the first 10 secs of a round, a vote automatically starts on that player.
Kill another person within the first 10 secs of another round, you are automatically kicked.
Voting will always have to be there to get rid of the people blasting rap music

Devil, that is an interesting idea. It would be nice if we could maybe have booth options that way I would be able to decide between the two.

Eh, this one is a pickle......
We have seen MAG get some special attention regarding teamkillers.
Will those same concepts make it to Socom 4? Only time will tell.
"FRIENDLY FIRE is important to gameplay. When "FF" is turned off, I can literally greande my own teammates while they are in gunfights. I won't hurt them one bit, but I'll level out anyone trying to kill my teammate.
I played alot of "FRIENDLY FIRE OFF" in Combined Assault, and I can tell you, it completely changes team tactics.
If a teammate in front of you gets in trouble, I can literally spray clips through his body to hit his enemy.
This plus the grenade issue makes any gunfight kinda crazy.
Instead of tactically moving as a team, you use one guy as bait and basically drop nuclear warheads on his location killing any enemy within sight. (figure of speech)
It's a really crappy form of teamwork. And if friendly fire is disabled, you can bet clans will abuse it as best they can.
We need Friendly Fire in Socom. And we need a vote system to remove players who like to teamkill.
And for those people who claim.......
"it's not fair I get voted out because the enemy is planting the bomb or extracting the vips! I paid $60 just like you!"
That's cool. But take your noob ass to an UNRANKED ROOM. I paid $60 just like you, and I'm not about to let some noob shooting birds in the sky while the enemy plants give me a loss on my ranked stats.
Yes, there are times clans ABUSE the voting system. But I feel there are much more times when we NEED to vote people out.
Confrontation broke the rules of 7+ years of Socom. And EVERY deviation sent ripples of unhappiness through our entire fanbase. Zipper read the 400,000+ posts lol. They know how we feel.

Didnt Confrontation have it were bullets didnt hurt but all explosives did when friendly fire was off? That way you couldnt nade whore your team the way Luke said.

That way you couldnt nade whore your team the way Luke said. yea S:C had it to where you couldn't shoot your teammate if FF was off but you could nade or blow them up with a car or barrel. i think we need voting in the game so hopefully it comes back and i like having the option to turn FF on/off but only in respawn games. this way when you make a room not ranked and turn respawn off you can practice or warm up before you jump into a ranked game or war.

I didnt think your bullets would go through teammates and stay straight. When i shoot friendlies at the end of the round my bullets go through them and then curve in someother direction.

Well, we can ignore the bullets going "through" a teammate for a second...... But if you are in a tight alley in a gunfight, you rely not only on good aim, but great defensive moves as well to dodge bullets. With Friendly Fire off, things can be a bit tricky. A merc comes around a corner and sees a seal. They both start strafing and shooting......... A second SEAL walks up and starts spraying random bullets all over the place, not caring if they hit their teammate. That poor merc has two targets now, and very little room to strafe. He has to dance around TWO CLIPS. If that merc strafes too far right or left, the 2nd guy's bullets might hit him. If he stays in one spot using his enemy as a shield, this he's an easy target for seal #1. THEN, let's throw in the bullets that "go through" your teammate. That merc is screwed unless he gets some lucky headshots. Grenades are even worse. Usually, someone throws a grenade on some campers. EVERYONE has to wait for the explosion, THEN fight for position. With FF off, I can walk in on top of that grenade....forcing YOU to change position, while I get the free "blast zone" to my taking. In old Socoms, snipers would shoot entire groups of gunfights. Easily picking off all enemies and receiving ZERO consequences for hitting a teammate. I could go on and on all day about how this changes the gameplay and how we all use weapons.

Devil, neat idea but i don't like it. I mean if i accidently TKed my clanmate..i don't want me to die as well. Usually if i mess up and kill my homie...i'll get 3+ kills to make up for it.

Friendly fire is a must. It would be way too unfair to have someone throw grenades right on you in the middle of a gun fight or while your clearing out a room and kill the enemy and not the team mate. Same goes for shooting, everyone would shoot right through their team mate to kill the enemy, talk about not having a chance to take anyone down.
I do think they should keep the voting system in (but make it majority, not 50%) but also implement an auto vote for going over a certain number of team kills.
