That there will be OLD modes as well. This is the first confirmation that old modes will be returning and not just all new modes.

You can't get rid of demo, breach & VIP type game modes. That is kinda what special forces is all about. However they can feel free to scrap Control and that horrible Arms Runs.

I never thought old modes were gone... how could they get rid of supression, extraction, elimination, or demolition? They couldn't cut them all out especially if they are designing maps around modes and they are bringing back some old maps.

I love me a good game of breach. I think they can add so much more to breach. I mean, breach & demo is cool. Can add so many more things. Breach & Extraction. Breach & Eliminate all threats. It all goes into what I was trying to say about Dynamic game modes. If you breach successfully give me a new objective with a count down to do so.
If Objective 1A was to Breach and was Successful 1B -Then plant C4 on Weapons Cache with 3 minutes 1C- If 1B Successful then extract hostage in dynamic location given from OPs Com - 3min Countdown 1D - If 1B Failure - Eliminate All Threats 3min Countdown
Can have so many different variations. I keep planning on drawing up something and putting on the forums but I been so lazy. If anyone wants to put something together I will do it with them. Ideas a plenty

I find suppression boring most of the time because there is no real objective and it only tends to work on small size maps. Control points I just find a retarded and lazily thought out game mode in general. You don't really control anything and there is no real point to what your doing, it's a game mode that is designed for an arena type game. SOCOM is supposed to be a military themed shooter so why not have some sort of real military theme for the game mode. It's a video game they could create anything they wanted for us to try and fight over and take control of but they didn't... they are just worthless random spots on the map.

Suppression of Socom 1 and 2? or Suppression of Socom Confrontation? Big difference

With SOCOM 1 and 2 the maps were smaller so it worked a bit better but even Shadow Falls and After Hours were too large to be suppression maps IMO. Only maps I feel really worked best as suppression were Frostfire, Rat's Nest, and Abandoned. S3, CA, and Confrontation the maps were just too large and suppression just completely sucked ass.

If anyone ever thought for a second that they were ditching old modes (completely) than they need to get checked out by a physician. I seriously hope they leave out arms run.. to me, that was completely WHACK. Worst mode ever thought up imho.

At least you have to drop smoke at a random point to say you were here instead of dropping a deuce.... Which actually would be a lot funnier.

Control Points is a HORRIBLE mode. Really hope that doesn't show up in SOCOM 4.
It actually discourages teamwork as opposed to encouraging it.

I have to dis agree with every1 who says control points are bad. lol Control points makes the game move faster. teams can't camp the whole map. they need to get going to establish a lead with the points. just throwing my 2 cents in.
I like all the game modes except elimination .. elim.. on a water map..lol what a mistake that was. They should of turned some characters into dolphins. lol Have a Nice day ..

I agree, control points is a horrible mode for a game like SOCOM. Watch them make some shitty game mode like it though lol.... I have a feeling we see some sort of CTF even though IMO it doesn't work for SOCOM.
