Please see below regarding the details and official RULES of each contest. If you have any questions, please email us at …………socomiv@gmail.com
Contest #1: “The ALL NEW Game Mode Challenge!”
Regarding Socom 4, our community has recently learned that Zipper Interactive will introduce new maps never seen before, and all new game modes to our beloved multiplayer experience!
The SocomIV.com Staff has been pondering just what types of NEW GAME MODES we will see.
Now is your chance to have your creativity rewarded!
We are asking all Socom fans to submit an ALL NEW GAME MODE ideas for Contest #1.
The rules for this contest are as follows:
1. Please use a Socom 1 or Socom 2 “classic map” when describing your new game mode. We do not want to see half of your submission simply explain an all new map no one has ever seen. We are asking you to use a CLASSIC MAP the entire fanbase can relate to when explaining the finer details of your submission.
2. Please DO NOT reference other games when detailing your submission. If you have to reference “another shooter” out there, we feel you are not being creative enough. This should be an entirely new concept, and original in design.
3. Please apply a strong sense of “Socom” when brainstorming. Ideas utilizing “ranked respawn” or other formats not seen in the Socom series will not be accepted. You should be able to apply your idea to ANY Socom installment or map, and still have the game mode relevant to traditional Socom gameplay. Ideas that utilize any type of “vehicles” will not be accepted either. We would prefer all submissions to stick to Socom 1 or Socom 2 maps for reference.
4. Please provide as many details as possible! Including, but not limited to: length of round times, apply your idea to 8v8 & 16v16 scenarios, explain any special functions needed to perform or complete the objective, explain how a team “wins” your game mode, explain how a team might “lose” on this game mode. A good example is ARMS RUN. If this was the “NEW GAME MODE”, I would include several things. Such as explaining the “activate/deactivate” panel on the front of the missile launcher, the timers that count down, when and how they can be paused/destroyed, and how “2 out of 3” destroyed/launched wins the game. Basically, any reader should be able to grasp how this game mode would work, all the rules surrounding it, and how it applies to a SOCOM multiplayer experience.
5. Please do not write an entire book! We plan on having a ton of submissions. Although, we want you to comfortably explain your game mode, we do not wish to receive a 10 page long explanation. This contest is only a week long, and we need time to read ALL of your submissions out there. Be thorough, but be sure to re-read your own idea and use your good judgment on edits or additions.
Contest #2 – “SOCAST EASTER EGGS”!
