Didn't they say Character Customization was "Not for SP?"
I could've swore that's what they said because I don't think with "HD" graphics, it'd be correct to have a bunch of "45's" running around just like how everybody picked Spectre.

The confession room... lol
Captive on FTB was a mode that you could revive your teammates but just pressing square. I believe it used to be ranked and 1 man could revive his whole team and be a hero. It was a fun game mode that I played all the time (Note that when you were revived that you had full health.) PMN mines took care of any heroes muahahahahahaha.
I asked a question on Zipline on how will we revive your teammates.
Seems like there was some mis-communication on where the maps came from around 30 min mark.

As it's main mode of online play? Zipper developed those first two FTB games, so they were the initially the ones who came up with that idea. I can totally see them introducing that into SOCOM 4's online. I bet you right now they are still debating whether to have health regeneration and revive, or just one or the other.

Does Socom: Confrontation have health regen? I mean when I play it, if I get shot my screen goes red but then it stops. Does the health regen or is it just showing I am taking damage and I don't really health regen? This maybe a stupid question but I wish to know.

And who knows, for all we know it could be something they add in after they are almost done or something. The game Lost Planet 2 has many many customization options but load times arent slow and not glitchty. It really depends on the company who is the one making the game.

I'd rather have Medkits over Health Regeneration any day but would really like neither. It was a very fun game mode but I think the only reason it really worked was because the main way to aim was Auto Aim. btw good podcasts.

I am still a bit confused about the MP maps at this point.
David & HTK implied that "new maps" on SP won't be on MP.
So in other words, I found myself thinking this:
Zipper created a bunch of new maps for single player. None of which will make it to multiplayer.
Then Zipper created NEW mulitplayer maps as well. None of which will make it to single player.
AND, we are getting at least ONE old school map for online play. (Abandoned)
That's how I interpreted the convos.
I also cannot really remember the story modes from Socom 1 & 2. Socom 3 & Combined Assault is quite fuzzy as well. I only really played those through when I first got the games. Once I logged onto multilplayer, I never revisited the story mode.
Confrontation's offline & online maps were virtually the same. Socom 1 & 2 had maps that looked similar, but had 2 different sets of maps for offline vs online.
When we recorded the show, I completely forgot about how the offline/online maps differed from one another on S1 & S2.
It sounds like Zipper is applying an old school concept here that we should get excited about.
I am beginning to see how easily 2 different games can be created here. One game for a "revamped" cinematic expurience that casuals will drool over. And another multiplayer game that is filled with S1 & S2 overtones. I can't wait for Zipper to clarify all this.

Good conversation, I liked a lot of what was being said. I'm also interested in participating in a SOCAST sometime soon. I don't know when you guys record it though.

Hell yeah, WARGO pointed out some good points on SOCOM.com. I think 6 people is too much and I've said this before but we got little bit to carried away with that.
The Guests part, well we try to get guests and sometimes it doesn't always pan out. But then again, early planning could fix that, so we're on it Mr. WARGO! hahahahah
