Did anyone catch the conversation about how you could destroy a jersey barrier by shooting at it. If that's the case then how many people will even be using the new cover system if their cover isn't going to last long enough to be worth it. I mean if the enemy sees where you went or zero's in on your fire, you need to get away from your cover pretty damn quick. It seems like they off set the cover system with destructable cover. That seems to me to be an awful lot of work and coding just to create a no-win situation. I'm really curious now as to what will be destructable in the game. If you can destroy a 3 foot thick jersey barrier with gunfire then what else can you do. Take down a building with your f90? LOL

It looks like they just chip away from gunfire and if you want to actually destroy it you have to hit it with a few grenades or a rocket. From what I have seen the destruction in the game needs some improvement. The concrete barriers which look pretty heavy duty can be destroyed yet some dumb little wooden keyosk thing went unharmed from explosions.
Relating to the cover system this is another reason why I think it's dumb. Cover breaks and in the case of vehicles can blow up and is an actual hazard so why would you want to be right next to it? You wouldn't.

If you listened to the Zipline podcast with Seth, he said the various cover will be destructible, however it's not going to be completely destructible. It's not going to be like battlefield where everything and it's mother can come down. Seth specifically said he doesn't want that because it kills the layout of the map itself. So to me, that says the various cover will be able to be destroyed, but the buildings and such will not.
As I see it, the easiest way to take down cover is via RPG/AT4 or 203. And lets be honest, the Socom community doesn't take well to these two weapons. Your better off praising Satan as your lord then using a RPG or 203 in Socom. So, to be honest, I don't think it will be as bad a issue as once thought. I'm sure, the socom community and all it's wisdom, will mark the rockets/203 (everyday, normal weapons used in warfare in day to day operations) as "noobish" once again.
