I have a poll for this community we have here: Are you going to retreat back to your old playing style as SOCOM 4 rolls around?
Here's an example: I used to be a hardcore Sniper with an M82 and SR as my primary choices, but SOCOM turned me into a, think for myself, get behind the enemy, kind of player. I used to know ho wto move and all the best positions.
Anyway, I plan on being a "sniper" again in SOCOM 4. If they don't screw up the weapon mechanics that is...

I will play according to how things develop. So it all depends on the opponent. That's how I always adjusted to shoot some faces.

I'm just praying I won't be able to play S4 the way I have to play on Confrontation....my Socom days feel rather "watered down" and have for years now.
And spawn camping for the kill count is just the damned Devil in my opinion.
How in the world is the EASIEST NOOB tactic ever so rewarding and pretty much RULE the game. It's a fkn tragedy.

That depends on how the game is designed. For example on Confrontation everybody moved slower making attacking aggressive behavior harder to pull off and less rewarding, so to adjust to that game I tended to play more defensive or in other words campy. It's why I didn't like the game.
Now if the game is designed well I'll probably go back to my old style which is more aggressive but I like to be capable of filling any role that is needed. Depending on what the opposition does, who we have on our team or left on our team, and how the map is designed factors in to what I do. I'm the type of player that likes to be at least proficient with every weapon there is because you never know when you may have to pick one up. I never want to be in the situation where I'm low on ammo and the only weapon for me to grab is X weapon but I can't shoot for shit with it.
And here is one small thing I really hope they do not do anymore. In S3 they started this bullshit where if you picked up a weapon and survived the round you then started with it at the start of the next round. Oh man how I hated that shit so much I can't even begin to vent on it... totally fucked with how I played. There were lots of times I wanted to snipe at the start of the round and then dump the sniper rifle in favor of an AR or something else as we moved up. Basically I just hated it because the act of picking up a weapon off a dead body had you contemplating the next round while you were still playing the one you were in... shouldn't have to do that. Ok that's my rant for right now....

I agree, Look in all the other Socom's besides ''confrontation'' if you camped which i hated but atleast you could do it but if you camped they couldn't see you unless they were good at knowing where the hiding spots were or they seen you move. But in the new one they can see you anywere on the map becouse if you notice sometimes the solid objects disappear if you are a certain distance from them and its bull-larky, they need to put actual working camo back in. If I hide in a bush I atleast want to beraly be seen ya know by luck or something.

I've always been a sniper, and always will be a sniper. I do change it up every once in a while and grab an assault rifle, but for the most part I snipe. If I have to change it up for S4 so be it, but I'll be going into it thinking "sniper".

i like to think of myself as a decoy for my team. i draw the enemy out to help get my team the win. lol, aka i suck for the most part but just love the game. if you really think i suck, we shall play when s4 releases. mind tricks...
