This is an interesting statement that I enjoyed from Dunham, but what really got me was his statement regarding MP vs SP for SOCOM 4:

Half the threads on that forum will be forgotten just like Nila Wafer said.
One sentence made the SOCOM boards look like the epitome of useless.

Best part about that post, he put "strong map design" before everything else when listing off what makes a SOCOM game fun.
To me, at least 50% of what makes SOCOM multiplayer fun is map design.

How much different can SP be from MP version of the same game?
Barely any info has been released about S4 MP. And alot of what I have read about MP mode is speculation. So why has Zipper been so tight lipped about S4 MP mode? Because, most of what we have seen of S4 has been from the SP mode.
Can it even be possible that the 2 modes could be entirely different? Meaning... Could S4 SP mode be what we see and know already, and that the MP mode could be more like S1 & S2?
Could this be the main reason why Zipper is has been so tight lipped about S4 MP mode???

i think its going to be a huge bang for the good or huge bang for the bad. i personally am leaning towards the good bc why else would they keep so hush hush about it?

Agreed. If we are doing percentages I would say 50% map design, 10% game speed, 20% tactics, 20% who you play with lol Eh. I would think that is more 35% map designs. You can have the best map design in the world, but if it plays like Bugsy3D it is not worth playing.
