We have 2 new tournaments for you to check out.
First we have Bloody Vengeance. This is a 6v6 tournament to bring you back to the old Socom 2 days. When your clan would put up a room titled "We want 6v6" or however many your clan had on at the time. Then you would wait for the first team to come in and say we got 6 and then you would discuss the maps, modes, time of day, and password. Well now we bringing it back. Each leader will meet up approx. an hour before the match. They will trade maps, modes, time of day, and the password will be given by the staff member there. After the map both teams will report the win or loss on the EBZ forums. The top 4 out of 8 teams or the top 8 out of 10 or more teams will go to the playoffs at the end of the season.
Then we have the Tactical Assault Medley which is an 8v8 points tournament. This is a medley tournament where points are earned for completing the objectives of each map. The winner is whoever earns the most points in a map, not the team with the most rounds won. The only time the tie breaker is played is when there is a tie in points after 2 maps. This tournament is also a "mixed clan" tournament. This means you can have your allies join you on the same team and not have to change their clan or their tags. We look forward to seeing you all at this event. This has the same playoff limits as the 6v6. All matches will be reported on the EBZ forums.
Both these tournaments will start in November. The 8v8 starts Tuesday November 8th at 9:30pm eastern. It will be played 2 times per week. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The 6v6 starts on Monday November 15th at 9:30pm eastern and will also be played 2 days a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. Both seasons are 7 weeks long (14 matches) plus the playoffs.
So far we have been very successful with all of our tournaments. The 4v4 Frostbite won by Pasaway. The 6v6 On Deadly Ground won by Excellence. The 8v8 Safe Passage won by $oulless Knights. Maybe the next one can be won by your clan. We wont know until you register and play. Lets get you out there and have a chance to win.
